Pinkish Leopard Spots.

I have high hope for Elianto Nail Color in White 02, but it's super streaky! I need at least 3 coat to have decent nails, but it have lots of bald spots. I'd tried using this for konading, not too bad, only a lil sheer.

Base Color : Elianto Nail Color in White 02

Simply Siti Eyeshadows

Last weekend, I went to Watson and Simply Siti single eyeshadows caught my attention.

Doesn't the pan shape looks a lot like NYX singles!

I swatched the Simply Siti eyeshadows and I find it to be very powdery and most the shadows are pretty sheer. I think it's because the line is manufactured in Korea, and typical Korean and Japanese eyeshadows are like that.

Shu Uemura at The Spring Kuching.

I just feel like taking picture of everything when I went out to The Spring last Saturday. The Shu Uemura at The Spring is quite new I believe. It's not that big, about the same size as MAC counter at the mall.

I really like the product display, lots of mirror and lighting. You can actually see properly when compared to dim lighting at Stage store.

Above is the picture of latest Mika Ninagawa collection. I really like to have the compact powder case, but I couldn't justify the price. *Sigh* being a student can be sucks at times.

Bloop de Paris.

Truth to be told, The Spring Kuching had Bloop de Paris for years and never once I actually pay attention to what the store have to deliver.
I think the store look pretty cute! It's not really a big store, but they have quite a lot of product available.
Bloop de Paris have quite a lot of nail polish in their collection, some of the colours looks interesting, but for RM10 a bottle, I might get 2 bottles from Elianto or The Face Shop. Okay, I admit it. I'm obsessed with Korean made nail polishes.
The store also have some Dolly Wink lashes and other stuffs included nail art stickers.
I'm tempted to get this Dessert Soap, but it's too expensive!
This is pretty interesting, face powder mask. It means that it could last longer and you could make as needed. No wastage!
I'm not sure what it is, it could be eyeshadows. The packaging is totally adorable!
Bloop de Paris also have skincare line available.
Some random stuffs on display. I didn't bought anything from Bloop de Paris since I end up buying a running shoes and a weighing scale that day. Another thing is that, I have more than enough makeup in my current collection.

All that is purple-ish.

Yesterday's post was the for the last time in "All that is purple-ish" series. I'm gonna start with a new one tomorrow. Maybe a green or blue series.

All that is purple-ish: Item 9 - Daiso Fan

This one is not makeup, but one of my must have when I put on full face makeup. It's very helpful to have a fan during hot and humid weather. It helps preventing the makeup wearing off due to sweating. I have this fan for about 2 years and it still in a good shape. I got this from Daiso for RM5

All that is purple-ish: Item 8 - MNY and Etude House Nail Polish

I love love love the MNY nail polish, I received it from swap with Aisyah. The purple is nice a bright with shimmer. Doesn't chip easily and easy to apply. Dry pretty fast.

The Etude House nail polish on the other hand is dissappointing. It's pretty in the bottle, but when applied look dull. It chip way too easily, but it dry fast.

Just click the 'Nails' label below to see swatches of this and other nail polishes.

KK Trip! Woo Hoo!

Today is the day. Oh yeah. I'll be going to KK tonight and be back next Tuesday. In the mean time, I might slowing down with blogging and replying comments (I love love love comments!). I'll be bringing my net book with hope I got the chance to blog when I'm in KK. I'd write buffer posts good scheduled daily while I'm away, so there are updates, no worries.

p/s: I love travelling, but I hate packing! I hate to choose what to bring.

All that is purple-ish: Item 7 - Lady Speed Stick Invisible Dry Powder Fresh Deodorant

My favourite deodorant. I' tried aerosol, my aim not that good, I end spraying the air or my face instead of my underarm. The liquidy one like Nivea is just pain in the *ss, takes time to dry, stained the shirt and doesn't really work. But this one I think is my must have, the one that work exactly the way I want it. It's in stick form, so no waiting time for it to dry. It's not sticky. It works, even if I sweat, especially when I'm in the gym, my underarm smell powder fresh!!! hahaha. Lastly, it doesn't have strong scent likes it Fressia version. I don't like strong-scented deodorant as I think it messing up the fragrance I'm gonna use.

All that is purple-ish: Item 6 - Johnson's Baby Bedtime Powder.

I can't really remember when is the last time I used this powder. I rarely used this stuff and how I used it is a little untypical. I used to reduce oil in my hair. Last time, my hair was a lil oilier than usual. So what I did is powder my pillow before I went to sleep. The powder will absorb the oil. But I stop doing it when my scalp become drier.

Lancome L'absolu Creme de Brillance

For my mum birthday, I wanted to get something from a luxury brand, but I couldn't afford most of it. Luckily, there are stuffs from luxury brand that cost less than RM100.

I decided to get Lancome L'absolu Creme de Brillance after reading a positive review saying that it's more of a liquid lipstick than a gloss.

It's priced RM75 each and the shade I got for my mum is Rose Absolu (I think so).

Here are the swatches in different light condition. I gotta say, I'm really impressed with the texture and pigmentation of this product. I wish I can get one for myself, but the price is too expensive for my budget and I think Lancome is not cruelty-free. I'm not gonna get this for myself, but I gotta make an exception this time since I think my mum deserve something from luxury brand once in a while.
p/s: It's her birthday today! I didn't get the chance to personally give her this, but I passed it to my dad few days earlier when he was in Kuching. My dad bought my mum a handbag! My mum never have enough bags or shoes...like most of us. LOL.

All that is purple-ish: Item 5 - Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Man

The best perfume I ever own. I finished this bottle up few months ago. The packaging is genius! I love the staple gun design. The part where you press to dispense the fragrance is made of sturdy plastic and purple in colour. The fragrance liquid is also purple. The thing I love about this fragrance is the unique smell and amazing sillage. The smell is hard to pin down, but I can tell it smell very synthetic, in a good way. It's very distinct too!

The sillage is the best part about this perfume. It have long sillage, up to 8 - 10 hours. The sillage is not too strong, but projected nicely. It also feels like it enveloped around the body like aura. It's hard to explain, but every notes in this perfume enjoyable. I love the synthetic ambergris drydown especially.

Guess what I spotted at Parkson Riverside?

Max Factor Counter! I maybe slow since I haven't went to Parkson Riverside Kuching for ages.
I wanted to take more picture, but the SA didn't allow me...lame~
The false lash effect mascara cost RM66! I would never spent that much on mascara since I'm gonna throw it away after 3 months usage. What if I can't finished it within 3 months, that would be a waste.

All that is purple-ish: Item 4 - Avon Simply Pretty Long Lash Waterproof Mascara

Like UDPP, the packaging is dark purple, so it counts for the Purple Series.

My go to mascara when I need to be fast as it is fuss free. It lashes evenly without clumping. It coat lashes with wispy end...very nice. Not much on holding curl or volumizing, but I'm contented with how elongating it is. It's really waterproof. Easily removed using facial cleanser

All that is purple-ish: Item 3 - Urban Decay Primer Potion Original Pro size

The packaging is purple, so I guess that counts huh! XD

UDPP is my must have. It almost come close as HG, but I feel like there are something better out there. It does make eyeshadow last much longer and look much more vibrant. But the thing about this primer is that it makes blending a lil harder. It also can be tricky to apply. Sometimes, the primer just ball up, when it does that, it takes some time to even it out. In very hot and humid weather, my eyeshadow still fade and crease even with primer on. Another thing I noticed about this product is that, it must be applied on bare skin for it to work for me. If I apply it over foundation or BB cream, my eyeshadow will fades and crease in 2-3 hours. Despite being a cult favourite, there a lot can be desired from this product.

Clarins Skin Time Appointment

I went to Clarins Skin Spa at The Spring Kuching yesterday for Skin Time Appointment. To learn more on how to sign up for the appointment, click here. (The link is from SAYS.my, but it'll bring you to Clarins FB page.)

I didn't received the sms per say in Clarins FB page, so I thought I didn't get the appointment. But a day before the day I request for the appointment, I received a phone from Clarins The Spring to confirm the appointment. So I guess that's something to take note here.

Actually the appointment supposed to be at 1.30pm, but I had enough of walking around aimlessly in the mall, I head for the appointment about 15 minutes early. I have no idea what to expect, but I come out from Clarins with my happiness bar rised higher.

This is how Clarins Skin Spa looks like.

I really like the product display. It's something I like to do if I have my own house, to store all my books.

A small army of tester lined up nicely.

The product display arranged to its line. Like the one in the picture above is for the Treatment Fragrances and the one in the picture below is range specifically for men, ranging from face wash to after shave to shower scrub.

Everyone, let me introduce you to Yvonne, the Beauty Advisor that I have appointment with. I think some of you knows how I'm such a sucker for good customer service. You can't imagine how happy I was to have Yvonne for the appointment. She's professional and very well knowledge. She asked about the products I had used and currently using. I'm feel happy when she talk about how The Body Shop Vitamin E range doesn't smell that nice (it is), how Clinique toner have strong alcohol scent (it is!) and said that my current concern is hydration (it IS!) since I'm currently using Hada Labo products. It's nice to see Beauty Advisor/ Stylist/ SA/ MUA that actually know something else other than forcing you to buy things you're not suitable with. Even tho I come for the appointment for free, I'm glad Yvonne treat me nicely and with respect.

Before Yvonne started, she sprays her hands with this Rebalancing Fragrance to refresh her hands.
The products used. For each products used, Yvonne show the right way to apply it and explains the main ingredients and its functions.

For this appointment, Yvonne is showing me how to correctly use and apply Clarins product that is advised for my skin concern on my arm. I think that is nice because we're not sure how products reacts to your skin, thus the importance of patch test. She first prepared my hand my using Water Purify One-Step Cleanser.
It's a remover for light makeup. It's advised to follow this step with facial cleanser. Well, I'm a big believer of double-cleansing my skin. RM165 per bottle.

Next, she applied Toning Lotion with Iris (RM90). This toner is for combination or oily skin and alcohol free. I used oil-control toner containing alcohol before and it make my skin more oilier.

Next applied is Clarins star product, Shaping Facial Lift (RM225). To apply this, smooth this all over the skin followed by manual auto-lifting method. Basically, the method is somewhat like a massage to reduce puffiness and relieve water retention.

Next, she applied HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase (RM200). This serum is for dehydrated skin. HydraQuench line contains Katafray bark extract, hyaluronic acid and Sorbier bud extract.

Another product from HydraQuench line is the facial cream (RM180). This one in particular is for normal to dry skin. This also available in Cream-Gel form for normal to combination skin or hot climates (sounds like something I would like) and in Rich Cream.

This sunscreen is really oil-free! Unlike certain suncreen claiming to be oil-free *ahemCliniqueahemSunscreenahem* this really is oil free. It look a lot like Biore UV Perfect Face Milk, but creamier. I like that in include UVA protection too. Cost RM158 each. Yvonne says that to apply sunscreen, pat it on lightly to your skin. If you rub it, it would come off and defeat its purpose as sun protection.

At the end of the appointment, I received Clarins pamphlets, booklets and 3 samples, which include Shaping Facial Lift, HydraQuench Cream and Day Screen High Protection. I didn't include the samples pic here since my camera died and I couldn't find my charger. So that would wait for another post.

Wow, this post pretty long and I think I sound like Clarins staffs. LOL. But I guess that's good to give you guys an idea about the Skin Time Appointment and Clarins in brief. I think the brand is quite good. But the price tag is little too high for my student budget. There are two products that caught my interest, which is the HydraQuench Cooling Cream-Gel and Intensive Serum Bi-Phase. But with total of RM380, I have to wait and do major budgeting before I can afford it. LOL. This is the kind of time I feel poor when I'm actually not.

So, what you waiting for? click here and book your Skin Time Appointment at the nearest Clarins!

All that is purple-ish: Item 2 - Avon Simply Pretty Colorbliss Amethyst and ELF Essential Lipstick Gypsy

I'm gonna start a series called "All that is *insert colour*". Basically, I'm gonna collect my stuffs that is in a particular group of color, one item for each day. In the post, I'm gonna write a short review or simply thoughts that I have about the item. I'm gonna start the series with the colour purple.

Left - Avon Simply Pretty Colorbliss Amethyst, Right - ELF Essential Lipstick Gypsy
In the picture above, I'm using Avon Simply Pretty Colorbliss Amethyst. Even tho Avon Simply Pretty line targetting younger demographic, tween especially, the quality is not bad at all, pigmented, easy to apply and non-drying. I haven't try it long enough to test how long it would last. It's a shimmery shade, but not that frosty.

In the picture above, I'm using ELF Essential Lipstick Gypsy. ELF Essential Lipstick is my favourite matte lipstick. The shade Gypsy is super awesome! The mauvy shade really bright and beautiful. It's last quite long, from 4 to 5 hours, it could be even longer! The formulation is a lil drying, but not too bad.

Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse SPF30 PA+++ Samples Swatch

I finnaly received the Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse. If you read the post earlier about the Shu Uemura express makeover, you read about me complaining that the makeover make me look greyer.

I finally found the culprit. It's not the face powder, it's actually the base. It make sense since the product have pretty high SPF.
The sample is pretty generous. 30g each.
The product is in super light mousse form. I believe the sample I got is 'beige' version. There are also pink and BB beige. BB beige is the limited shade in Mika Ninagawa collection.

It's too early to write a review for this product. So I'm just gonna swatch it in this post.

Swatch w/o flash: I apply the base only at the left side. The white cast can be seen here.

It become more obvious with flash. So, basically, this product is not good if you're taking picture.

But the good thing is that, the area where the base applied look more even and smoother. I think I'm gonna reserved this as sunscreen for the day I'm playing volleyball.
