I think its funny that...

I'm glad some of my ELF 50% spree order are out of stock. I think that's weird. Usually I would let out a big sigh, whining and complaining about all day. But not this time. I actually smiled when I found out the brushes and blusher were out of stock. LOL.

I think I know why
  1. I have that kabuki brush already and I rarely use it. Why would I need a back up when I can use a powder brush? Greed~
  2. Why would I need a crease brush when I already have a blending brush that look and work like a crease brush. I'm not a makeup artist or what, 2 blending brush and 2 crease brush is more than enough. Hoarder~
  3. I have 5 blusher that hardly have a dent on them. I have enough variation with that 5 blusher. It's not like I'm working as a secretary or cosmetic sale assistant. Sometimes, I felt guilty having a beauty blog, but not having all makeup brands and color variation.
Reflecting on my spending habit last year, I thought its about time for me to be more rational on how I spend my money, especially on makeup. I'm able to say this because I'm pretty happy with what I have on my vanity table right now. I admit that I have the urge to buy more, but I know what I have right now is all I need.

Still, I have to remind myself so many time that I don't need the UD NAKED palette, I want it! That means, the palette can wait. *heart break*

The last haul of 2010

Yeah, all that are my last haul for the year 2010. It was also my last purchase before I start my 10 Pan Project. Some of the items are for giveaway prize that I'm gonna host pretty soon!
From Daiso, I bought
  • a travel mirror. This mirror is huge! It got a regular mirror and a magnifying mirror, housed in a very sturdy plastic case.
  • 3 airless pump bottles. It's only RM5/bottle, in ebay, it gonna cost RM50++ for two. What a steal! I'd tried the bottle, it work great despite the low price.
  • Detergent for puff and sponge.
  • Eyebrow and eyeliner coat. These two is great dupe for Benefit She-Laq.
I also bought 2 nail polishes from Etude House (the bottle is kawaii), UDPP Pro size (this gonna last me forever), Silkygirl blusher, false lashes and earrings.

I'm very pleased with my purchase from Daiso, I wish I could get more stuff, but I'm too sick to browse every single aisle in the store. Well, at least I end up saving some money. Hehe.

Quick Update

I'm finally getting better after almost two weeks coughing like train engine. I went to the university clinic and they gave me medication for cough, asthma and one month supply of vitamin C. I think the real culprit of the incessant coughing is actually asthma. *slap forehead* I have asthma since like forever, but I'm very slow to understand the symptoms.

The past few posts published in this blog are back up post that are scheduled, in case I'm not around to update it. I'm actually did went and have a look, published comments and stuffs, but I feel too weak to use my brain. I feel much better now, and I'm starting to run out of back up post, so I'm gonna be back pretty soon.

Oh ya, I'm gonna host another giveaway in few days and this time it gonna be open for international reader too!

Review and Swatch: L.A. Colors Twisty Lip Gloss Coral Cobbler

This lipgloss comes in a sturdy cute packaging. To use it, twist the bottom of the packaging until the lipgloss come out from the slanted applicator tip. Eventho I prefer slanted tip applicator most of the time, this one just not my favourite, it doesn't apply the lipgloss evenly right away. I think this is because of there's too much holes on the tip. The size is good tho.

The problem with the twist mechanism to get the product to tip is that it tend to twist out too much. Most of the time, I end up wiping the excess off, such a waste in long term. Sometimes, I found some lipgloss stick inside the cap. It could be I twisted the gloss accidentally inside my bag or something.

L.A. Colors website describes this lipgloss as "Hydrate and Volumize your lips with these bright, sheer colors! Leaves lips soft, hydrated & vibrant!". Well, I love the color of this lipgloss, especially when it looks great in picture. Sadly, I'm not fond of the smell and the stickiness. It's sticky, but not moisturising. Boo~ It's not hydrating, my $1 ELF lipgloss works much better than this one. This lipgloss last for few hours before it become unbearably drying and uncomfortable.

Another con of this lipgloss is the fact that everytime I want to put this on, I have exfoliate my lips, if not, it would exaggerate any part that dry. For me, lipgloss should be a quick fix to dry lips. Simply slap it on and problem solve.

Would I repurchase? No.
Would I recommend? No.

Review: ELF Essential Individual Lash Kit

Now, this is something very new to me. I'm used to strip lashes, and I find it's hard to put on and quite uncomfortable. I thought individual lashes would be worse, but I'm totally wrong.

This kit comes with 18 individual lashes in contour tray and useless dried glue. To put this lashes on, you only 1 or 2 drops of glue. I used tweezers to put it on as it give me more control. It is much easier to put on than strip lashes. Far more comfortable too! It's so light that it doesn't feel like I have lashes glued on my lash line.

In the picture above, middle row, I put on seven individual lashes on my right eye (left in the picture) and non on my left eye. The result is very natural and flattering. It only need a little trim to make it perfect. Well, you can always trim by yourself to customize it.

As long as you are gentle with this lashes, it is definitely reusable. Usually, after I removed it, I clean up the glue, put on tiny bit of new glue and stick it back to the contour try to maintain its shape.

Would I repurchase? If ELF got 50% or more discount, yes.
Would I recommend it? If you want comfortable, natural looking lashes. Yes.
