February Empties and 10 Pan Project Update

Got quite a few of product empties this month. Four (one not included in the pic) are from my 10 pan project list. I'm not gonna elaborate on the empties this month. Nothing much to say about it after all.

10 Pan Project Update

I broke the shopping ban twice this month. The first one is because I need to get long wearing foundation that actually match my skin tone. All the foundation or base that I have right now are too dark, or too light, or too ashy or too pink for me. The second time is during my trip to KL, you can read about it here.

I managed to finished up 4 items.

1. Egyptian Magic Cream in sample jar

3. Shower gel in travel bottle (I can't remember the product name)
   
4. Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream in sample jar

But lost another 2 items out of the 10 items. Tsk tsk tsk...

1. ELF Essential Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 Watermelon
2. Nivea Lip Care Velvet Rose

I'm gonna toss Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara Very Black away since it more than 3 months since I first open it.

So I'm left with

1. Clinique High Impact SPF 15 Lipstick Honey Blush
2. Silkygirl Blusher Honeywood
   
3. ELF Clarifying Pressed Powder Rosy Beige

Until I find the two that I lost. LOL.

For now I'm not gonna add any product to the list since I don't think I have product that need to finished up soon.

10 Pan Project Update

I passed the first month of makeup shopping ban and 10 pan project quite well. I didn't buy new makeup product at all, and I finished up 3 out 10 products. From the previous list, I have to take Everyday Minerals Golden Medium+Beige Neutral Intensive Base out since my skin doesn't like this product at all. I would have serious issue of clogged pores and followed by endless break outs.Basically 4 products are outs, so I have another 4 in this months since I still have 4 months of makeup shopping ban going on.

Haul, January Empties and EOTDs

This would be the last makeup haul for me as I'm in self-imposed makeup shopping ban until May. I ordered all this stuffs from several sprees last year and it just arrived this month.I got...

• ELF Essential Feather Proof Moisturising Lip Liner in Natural Blush
• Kryolan TV Paint Stick in 4w and V14 (actually someone ordered it through me and back out last week. A bit pissed off about it, but the damages has been done)
• ELF Studio Blush in Blushing Rose.
• NYX Concealer in Jar - Medium. I ordered another in Glow, but it's a lil too dark for me, so I swapped it with Aisyah.
• ELF Studio Cream Eye Liner in Plum Purple.
• ELF Mineral Blemish Kit
• ELF Essential Clarifying Pressed Powder in Spice, Toffee and Apricot Beige.
  

Influenced by Gaby, I decided to this type of post every month. I'm gonna share products that I finished up that months and a lil bit of my thought about the product.

1. ELF Mineral Blemish Kit sample - This sample is one of my 10 Pan Project item. I used it mainly as facial mask when my face very oily. As replacement, I will used the full sized product from haul above.
2. ELF Cream Eye Liner Black in sample jar - Alright, the eyeliner in these sample jar are results from my experiments to revive the eyeliner. I still have a lot more in the original jar to use.
3. Maybelline Eye and Lip Makeup Remover - Also one of 10 Pan Project Item. A good makeup remover, I had started to use another bottle that I bought last December. I'm considering of not repurchasing this makeup remover as I learn Maybelline is not cruelty free.
   
4. ELF Seductive Lipstick - Okay, I cheat for this one. The lipstick was depotted as it was broken, but I used up the left over in the original container.
5. Color Sense Mineral Eyeshadow - This one not technically empty, but I gonna throw this away since it is already more than 5 years old.
6. Guardian Wet Wipes - I used this up when I do swatches pictures. Very handy, but most unlikely to repurchase at the moment.
7. Constance Carroll conditioning Nail Enamel Remover - Another 10 Pan Project Item. This nail remover works well. I have another back up for replacement.
8. Vaseline Healthy White Skin Lightening Lotion in travel pump bottle - I brought this bottle of lotion during my trip to Johor last December, but I hardly used it up. I managed to finish it up this week since my skin unbearably dry. The original bottle still have tonnes of lotions left, so I wouldn't repurchase this any time soon.

So this is my first post in year 2011 and as per tradition during new year, this post gonna be about new year resolution, beauty related of course!

10 Pan Project

I always wanted to do a proper 10 pan project since the one I started last year was a total failure, even though I managed to finished 4 products, but I bought a whole lot more at the same time. I guess it was due to bad timing. I'm still building up my makeup collection at the time when I started doing 10 pan project, I need want to buy more makeup because I don't have this brushes, that blusher or this bronzer. ELF frequent promotion also didn't help.

After months of going gaga over ELF spree, I finally got a hold on it. I think finally I have/ordered all the stuff that I need. Anymore would be 'what I want' not 'what I need'. After all, I learned ELF and other cosmetics companies would always have promotion. If I miss one promotion, there would be other in near future.

Honestly, I'm sick looking at barely there money in my account balance every end of the month. That is very unhealthy. I need to stop this. I want to see bigger number when I check my account balance. That is another motivation to redo 10 pan project.

I plan to do it for a period of 5 months. It seems to be a real long time, but I bought a lot of back-ups last year. It would last me longer than 5 months. In that period of 5 months, if 10 products finish before 5 months period, I will start another round of the project.

Since I ordered a lot of stuffs on November, most of the order will arrived in January, so I still have few haul post within 10 pan project period.

Of course, if within the project period I used up stuff that I really need, such as hair shampoo, deodorant, makeup remover, etc, I'm allowed to buy new as long as I don't have similar stuff. That means, I would not buy a new blusher, eyeshadow, lipgloss or anything of the same nature because I didn't have the color or because it is limited edition. That means no Urban Decay Naked palette until June *sob*. Another exception is that during Clinique visits to my university, it is sort of annual events here when Clinique comes and doing free workshops and consultation. I might be purchasing the 3-Step Skin Care System, and some other stuff as they are selling at students price.

I know this project is very ambitious, 5 months is a very long time. So how I'm gonna do it? Well, stop browsing through ELF website and LYN Stuff for Ladies. You know how window shopping led you to the sale counter. I would stop visiting cosmetics counter/shop when I'm going out. No more Guardian/Watson unless I finished my shampoo or stuff that I really need. I will tell myself frequently that I have more than enough right now, no more new stuff unless I finished up the old one.

So, for the first round of this project, I'm gonna start with products that's possible to finish. I won't include body lotion this time since I hardly use it.

The 10 Pans

• Constance Carroll conditioning Nail Enamel Remover - I still have 1/5 left in the bottle.
• Maybelline Eye & Lip Make Up Remover. I still have about half left, finishing this one would easy since I use everyday.
• ELF Essential Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 Watermelon - I think there's about 1/2 left in the tube.
  
• Nivea Lip Care Velvet Rose - I don't like this lipbalm, since only about an inch left, I include it in this project.
• Clinique High Impact SPF 15 Lipstick Honey Blush - Less than an inch left. I'm gonna pair this one with Nivea Lip Care.
• Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara Very Black - I don't think there's much left, but I must finish this one before I open new tube of ELF mascara duo.
• ELF Mineral Blemish Kit Jar No.1 - I have two jars of this sample. About 1/3 left in the jar.
• Everyday Minerals Golden Medium+Beige Neutral Intensive Base - About 1/2 left. Been stop using this since I got another one in Olive Medium.
• ELF Clarifying Pressed Powder Rosy Beige - I already hit the pan with this one. Need a li bit more work to totally finish this one.
• Silkygirl Blusher Honeywood - I pity this blusher, I pretty much ignore it after I got my ELF Studio Candid Coral, this baby need more love.

Re-doing this 10 pan project is a good news to my wallet and bank account, however, the bad news is that I have to postpone any giveaway until June. Well, for the sake of my sanity and bank account, I guess giveaway can wait. I might be able to host giveaway if don't spend my money on makeup, and since I have a lot of back ups, I think I have enough stuff for the giveaway. Don't worry, all is new and unused.

Taking good care of my skin

1. I will always remove makeup properly and completely at the end of the day.
2. I will wash my face, put on toner and moisturiser at least twice a day.
3. I will try my best not to touch my face whenever it is not necessary
4. No more picking pimples and white/blackheads.
5. I will wash my brushes at least once a week.
   
6. I will do my best to put on body lotion as frequent as I could.
   

You know how new year resolution usually forgotten by the end of January, I hope I'm motivated enough to stick to my resolutions. *crossing fingers and toes*
