The last post about nail polish is about the NOTD below. My current favourite.

Since I had the nail look for quite some time and the tips started chipping, I tried a different look.

Since plain black a little to harsh, I add glitter polish on top, but it looks weird.

  I removed it all and started again with something neutral. But it looks a lil boring.

So I add purple on top. It looks nice.

But my hand so itchy, I add chunky glitter. It looks childish, so I remove it again.

And apply red nail polish. Still gatal tangan (itchy hand), I taped my nail and add black tip.

By this time, I'm too frustrated and tired. I end up leaving my nail like this even tho I'm still not satisfied.

Current favourite nail polish combination.

Pardon me for the pic, especially the nail tips. It look like this because the picture taken about 4 days after it was first applied. Anyway, currently, this is my favourite nails look. It looks more peachy corally than in the picture, but it is really that shiny. Hehehe. I like this one in particular as it is simple, pretty and the tip wear off nicely instead of cracking just like that.

I used one coat L.A. Colors Nail Lacquer in Suede as base as Elianto Nail Color in Coral Light stains nail badly. I apply two thin coat of Coral light followed by one or two coat of The Face Shop WH003.

The real star for this combination is The Face Shop WH003. I have this bottle for about 2 years and it is still good. It's pretty sheer, which makes it great for transforming other nail color. It is like doubling your nail color collection. After all, this is the closest I get to holo nail polish....it is so hard to find holo nail polish, let alone cheap one.

Blue with Chunky Glitter

I messed up with this one since I tried to get more chunky glitter on and I end up with mile thick nail polish. Since it gonna takes forever to dry and I need to start packing up for Bako trip, I'd removed it immediately after the picture taken.

Pinkish Leopard Spots.

I have high hope for Elianto Nail Color in White 02, but it's super streaky! I need at least 3 coat to have decent nails, but it have lots of bald spots. I'd tried using this for konading, not too bad, only a lil sheer.

All that is purple-ish: Item 8 - MNY and Etude House Nail Polish

I love love love the MNY nail polish, I received it from swap with Aisyah. The purple is nice a bright with shimmer. Doesn't chip easily and easy to apply. Dry pretty fast.

The Etude House nail polish on the other hand is dissappointing. It's pretty in the bottle, but when applied look dull. It chip way too easily, but it dry fast.

Green over Black

The base color for this manicure is Etude House GR603HD, a jewel green tone, applied over Elianto Nail Color #40 Twilight. It turn out to be way too dark...I was expecting it the black to enhance the green jewel tone. It's does the exact opposite. Another failed experiment. Konad plate used was M51.

Blue Splash

The base colour in this NOTD is Elianto Nail Color #29 Blue Splash. Blue Splash was my first proper nail polish and my first nail polish from Elianto. The first bottle I bought was on May 2009. At that time, I was crazy over the blue color. My friends too. I remember sitting at the college compound applying nail on each other nails. It was 3 am that time. LOL.

Few weeks ago, I bought a new bottle because I'm suddenly feeling nostalgic. But when I apply it on, first time after more than a year, I find out that I no longer like the color. I think it's boring and plain. Funny. Maybe I'm just bored or my taste and preference changes a lot.

Video: Konading Tutorial

I always wanted to do a tutorial on konading and I think it is best done using video instead of series of pictures.

The technique pretty simple, but it takes a lot of practice to get it right. Once you get used to it, Konading will take less than 10 minutes to be done (granted you're using fast drying base color ^_^).

So yeah, if you interested to try Konad, but unsure if you can do it, I say just get the small promo kit and practice until you're are confident. I'm addicted to this that I changed my nail polish and the konad almost everyday. It's really fun.

For those in Malaysia, rejoice as I had found a great dupe for Konad Top Coat and Special Nail Polish in Black. It's Elianto Nail Color in Transparent #01 and Twilight #40. I dare say Elianto quality is superior compared to the Konad version.

Just when I thought of hoarding more Stage stuffs and Elianto nail polishes...

...the bus driver never came. I wait for about two hours. The university bus to town should be there on 10 am, but the bus driver never came or he came just too late. Not really a bad thing since I stop from buying more stuffs, at least for today :D

Last Friday was fun. I done manicure for Jerry, Erin and Bella. Somehow the camera baterry died when I'm about to take pictures of Bella's konaded nails. Jerry wants it to be plain this time, so he have The Face Shop Nail Color in BL604. A dark blue, so dark it's almost black.

I'd been slowing down with blogging the past few days. Considering I update my blog pretty frequent (sometimes up to 4 posts a day), I feel awkward about. I have many excuses to why I'm slowing. 1st is the internet connection disruption in Malaysia after the Sendai Earthquake. It was so slow that uploading picture to my Picassa is almost impossible.

2nd is BBC News: Live. I'm practically glued to my laptop screen following update regarding situation in Japan. I register for twitter account to follow Daiichisupport. Why so concern about Japan when there are people still need equal attention in Haiti, Christchurch and many other place? Well, Japan is a country that is close to my heart. The Japanese culture and influence contribute partly to my personal development. I can go on talking about this. But really, I'm not in the mood.

3rd, I'm plain lazy lately. All I want to is sit in front of the laptop and do practically nothing. I really hate the way it is right now. I'm too lazy to come out with another excuse. So this gonna be the end of this post, I hope, I'm more motivated to blog and actually do work. Till then I leave you guys with this pic of cute stray kittens napping in the laundry room. I guess it is warm there, that's why they like it.
